TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Full Time Terms and Conditions
1. Applicants who meet the minimum entry requirements will receive in writing an offer of a place on an appropriate course.
2. No students can be formally enrolled in the college until: a) The registration fee is paid (plus one year fees for overseas students); and b) The registration form is returned, duly signed.
3. For international students, the one year fees will be refunded only if: a) The student is refused the entry visa OR b) The College withdraws the offer of the course for any reason.
4. One term’s fees in lieu of notice, is required for withdrawal from a course.
5. The college reserves the right, after due warning, to remove from the college or from its examination entry list any student who, in the opinion of the tutors, has failed to complete the minimum amount of work or register the minimum attendance needed to ensure a reasonable chance of success on his or her chosen course.
6. The college reserves the right, after due warning, to remove from the college any student, for whom tuition fees remain unpaid.
7. If the term has already started and the student wishes to withdraw from the college, then that particular term fee still remains payable.
8. Absence from classes for whatever reason, including sickness, does not automatically lead to a refund of fees nor can the college be expected to provide extra lesson without charge to compensate for such absence.
9. All full time students must be smartly dressed (boys – suits, girls – smart business attire) at all times and no excessive jewellery is allowed.
10. Strictly no mobile phone(s) are allowed in any lessons at any time. The college reserve the right, if this is not followed, to remove the student from the lesson/college.
11. If any rules above are not followed, the student will face punishment and if rules are repeatedly broken, the student could be permanently excluded from the college at the discretion of the Vice Principal.
Part time Terms and Conditions:
1.The enrolment form, when received by the Vice Principal, reserves a place at CMC. The offer is valid only at the time it is made. Those wishing to accept the offer after some time must check with the Vice Principal that the place remains vacant.
2.All fees for part-time group classes are payable monthly in advance at the first lesson of the month, failing that will incur additional administration charges of £10. (This does not include one off trial lessons charged at £20 for one hour)
3.All part–time one to one classes are payable 24 hours in advance. Absence from classes for whatever reason, including sickness, does not automatically lead to a refund of fees under any circumstances.
4. If you have purchased a bulk lesson deal and wish to discontinue lessons a refund may be given at the principals discretion. However please note any lessons previously taken will be charged at the full rate (£40ph). All refunds are subject to a £25 admin fee.
5.Cancellation of lessons must be made by 9am on the day of the lesson. Any lessons cancelled after this time will still be charged.
6. Any physical or verbal abuse towards the staff will not be tolerated.
7. Students are personally responsible for their own safety and are jointly or individually liable for any damage caused by them to the premises where they are taught.
8. For classes with two students, if one student cancels, the lesson is still payable. Cancellation for classes with two students would also need to be made by 9am on the day of the lesson.
Late fee and Admin Charges
CMC reserves the right to add fees to all student accounts if payments are late or left outstanding. Accounts will incur additional fees as seen below.
PART TIME LATE FEES:
- Saturday group classes are to be paid monthly, in advance, on the first Saturday of the month.
- There will be an initial late fee of £25 per week post the instalment date.
- An additional fee of £500 will be added after 30 days from the instalment date.
- If the balance remains unpaid after 90 days from the instalment date, a high late fee of £1,000 will be added to the students account.
- An admin fee of £15 will also be added to student accounts for any letters sent out for chasing payments or return of materials.
FULL TIME LATE FEES:
- Full time fees are due on the first day of each calendar month.
- There will be an initial late fee of £100 per week post the instalment date.
- An additional fee of £500 will be added after 30 days from the instalment date.
- If the balance remains unpaid after 90 days from the instalment date, An additional high late fee of £1,000 will be added to the students account.
- An admin fee of £25 will also be added to student accounts for any letters sent out for chasing payments or return of materials i.e. textbook, locker keys etc.
EXAMINATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- I understand that it is my responsibility to cash in my results on time.
- I am responsible for checking that I have provided the exams officer with the correct entry codes before submitting this form and will check the statement of entry when it arrives.
- I understand that I am liable, and not the college, for organizing any coursework or preparation for the exam I have entered for.
- I have agreed/declined (delete appropriate) to have my coursework and exam preparation at this college.
- If I have not received my Statement of Entry at least two weeks before the day of my examination(s) it is my responsibility to contact the college.
- I understand that it is not the fault of the college if I miss my examination and that I have read and understood the terms and conditions shown below.
- I agree to pay the administration fee of £25.00 for each exam form completed at a later time and understand that this is non-refundable.
- I understand that a refund of exam fees will be given only if the request is made within the withdrawal deadline date. After the deadline date NO refund will be given.
If the exam is in the afternoon, please be at the college at 12.30PM.
If the exam is in the morning then please be at the college at 08.30AM.
- You must confirm that you have not been entered for examinations at two different centres at any one time.
(If you have been entered then you must let the examination officer know whether or not you have been withdrawn.)
- Payments must be made in advance before any entries can be made.
- A valid address and contact number of the candidate must be provided on the form.
- Any entries that are made after the deadline will be charged £108.50 for standard exams and £128.50 for International exams plus the late fee charge.
Late fee charges are per unit shown below
- 1 week late = £25
- 2 weeks late = £50
- 3 weeks late = £75
- 4+ weeks late = £100
- A refund will be issued for those who wish to withdraw from an examination before the withdrawal deadline date. If you have missed the withdrawal deadline no refund will be issued.
- If a cheque is to bounce there will be a £100.00 fee. If paying by cheque you will not be entered until that has cleared in our accounts.
