CROYDON METROPOLITAN COLLEGE

Founded in 2000 by Mr P Mohan, with over thirty years of experience in education. Mr Mohan’s mission was to establish a college that would not allow its students to drift through their most formative years but would work tirelessly to ensure that they achieved their full academic potential.

Having started out as a tuition centre offering evening classes, CMC quickly grew into a fully-fledged college. By 2003 we were offering GCSE and A-Level courses to full-time students. This rapid development was a testament to the excellent standard of teaching at the college and its unwavering commitment to the success of its students. CMC is now a DfE approved independent college with an intake comprised of both local and international students. We have achieved “Good” ratings in out last three Ofsted inspections.

We have a proud record of sending our students to the UK’s most prestigious universities, including Oxford, Imperial College, UCL, King’s College, Warwick, Leeds and York.

Why CMC?

What we offer:

  • Small class sizes
  • Laboratory facilities
  • Library and ICT facilities
  • Weekly tests to monitor learning
  • Half-termly exams with progress reports sent to parents
  • Personal tutors assigned to each student
  • Assistance with UCAS applications and interview preparation

What we strive for:

We understand that every student is different and that every student faces different obstacles in education. We believe that these obstacles are best overcome with an approach to teaching that is focused on three fundamental aims: to inspire, to instruct and to encourage. With these aims in mind, the teachers at CMC are able to ensure that our students are stimulated, capable and confident. This is our recipe for success. We believe that this success is best achieved in a setting that is welcoming and supportive. At CMC, academic achievement is our ultimate aim but we also believe in creating a college environment where our students have the opportunity to make lifelong friends and discover lifelong interests.
