Mr Mohan
Principal & Head of Physics
Mr Mohan has been teaching maths, further maths and physics at GCSE and A-Level for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience in the secondary school sector.
He started CMC as a tuition centre in 1999 and has overseen its growth over the past 25 years. Mr Mohan has an accomplished background in mechanical engineering and physics.
Mr Muhilan
Head Teacher
Having a background in medical science and a qualified lawyer, Mr Muhilan has been the Head Teacher of CMC since 2013.
He has over 15 years’ experience in teaching biology, business studies and law at GCSE and A-Level. He has a keen interest in the uses of AI in modern-day classrooms and has been working closely with his SLT on the integration of AI into CMC’s curriculum-based learning.
Dr Blundell
Deputy Head Teacher and Head of Chemistry
Dr Blundell graduated from Manchester University and obtained his PhD in Chemistry from that University.
He has worked for the Health and Safety Executive and been a Headteacher.
He has been the lead registered Ofsted inspector for several years and a consultant in many schools . He has also worked as Project Manager helping to raise standards overall and most especially in maths and the sciences . He has recently worked with several Zambian schools and currently helps support Chikungu school in Eastern Province in that country . He is now Business Development Manager and Deputy Head at CMC .
Mr Gonsalves
Head of English
Mr Gonsalves graduated with a BA in English and Fine Art from Roehampton University – MA 19th Century in Social and Political Theory from the University of Cambridge and has a PGCE in English and Maths, English Language and Literature, A level Literature, Language, and Literature and language combination.
He teaches across all the exam boards and has been an examiner also.
In his spare time he enjoys to sketch, draw, and visit museums as well as travelling to various parts of the world.
Mrs Jeyapaalen
Head of Tamil Language & Literature
Before moving to the UK, Mrs Jeyapaalen was trained as a teacher in Sri Lanka and has a BA and MA in Tamil.
She has been the Head Teacher at Sutton Tamil School for the past 18 years and has also prepared students for the CIE GCSE and A-level exam for over 15 years.
Mrs Varvara
Head of Modern & Classical languages
Having studied Classical Greek at the esteemed Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mrs Varvara dedicated 25 years to secondary education in Greece, shaping the minds and nurturing the love of language among countless students.
Currently, she is imparting her knowledge as a Greek teacher in London, specializing in both Modern Greek and Classical Greek. Her extensive experience and passion for Greek language and culture have driven her to inspire and educate students in these timeless subjects.
Ms Roux-Martyn
College Co-ordinator
Ms Roux-Martyn has a strong background and experience of over 15 years within sales, fitness as well as being a PA for 4 years. She speaks 7 languages which has helped her with her travels to South America, the Caribbean and Italy to name a few!
Her motto in life is “Live the life you love and follow your own path!”
